Where do I find my Place ID?
Open Google's Place ID Finder (developers.google.com/maps/documentation/places/web-service/place-id), search your business name and address, and copy the ID that begins with ChIJ.
Does the link work on phones?
Yes. On Android and iPhone it opens the Google review screen for your business, and the customer only needs to be signed in to Google.
Can I offer a discount for a review?
No. Google's policy prohibits offering incentives for reviews, and doing so risks having reviews removed. Ask politely, make it easy, and follow up.
Will more reviews improve my map ranking?
Review count, rating and recency are all ranking signals, but proximity usually matters more. Reviews help you convert the people who find you; they rarely overcome being far from the searcher.
